These three bears were photographed on the falls at Brooks River in Katmai National Park. The image on the left was exposed for about 1/250 of a second, thus stopping the jumping fish in midair. The other shot was exposed for 2 seconds to give the water a silky effect. The amazing result is that all three bears are still sharp in the longer exposure. No sign of movement whatsoever. Such concentration while standing in fast moving frigid water atop a waterfall is astounding.
